I bought a Mac with close to Eddie Izzard

Edward John “Eddie” Izzard (born February 7, 1962) is an English stand-up comedian and actor, known for his cross-dressing. His comedic style is expressed in rambling, surreal monologue and self-referential pantomime. In addition to touring, he is also a television, stage and film actor, and is active in charity work.

I saw this dude on cable and he was really funny. Very original. The transvestite shtick makes no sense and seems to have nothing to do with his show. I guess early in his carrer it helped him stand out for the pack. Maybe he was just working out his issues. Maybe it’s just an English thing (see photo below). Whatever is going on with him I’m sure he’s huge in the Mid-West.

Hey, Matt, this guy was so funny on most of the Monty Python episodes. I had hours of laughter watching the old reruns and hope they become more frequent on BBC America. Good blurb about a really talented comedian.

Eddie is a genius of comedy and a talented actor with an acute mind and an ironic and penetrating sense of the world. And he’s an out straight transvestite. Or in his lexicon, a “male tomboy” or “male lesbian”, since he is male and fancies women. But what you said about it having nothing to do with the comedy is exactly the point. It’s just one of the things about him and rather than be ashamed and hide it, he is out and quite vocal about it. It’s not just a thing on stage. I recommend the DVD “Dress to Kill” that the make-up photo is from for some comments from him about transvestism. Fun blog by the way!!!
