Van Nuys Dog Park

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Unlike the westside the Valley has space. The Van Nuys Dog Park is a huge facility broken into 3 sections: little dogs, big dogs, and even a section for nerotic biting dogs. It’s on the corner of White Oak and Victory. This has to be the best dog park I’ve ever been to—and I’m telling you I’ve been to at least two others. Click here for a map.

Goldfinger turned 7 this month so we decided to check out the local scene and say hello to our neighbours.

Apparently this park was once sponsored by Alpo. I guess they bailed and were painted out which is just as well as the food is pure crap. My dogs eat Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance. Good stuff.

Is this a joke or is this really needed?

All the tools of the trade can be found every 100 feet or so. No bags needed. Handy!

Also included are water spigots with a complimentary bowl. Having a bowl there is a nice touch. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to get a dog to drink out of a bottle of water but it’s totally impossible.

I was tempted to pee on this tree as well but decided to wait till I got home.

52 Pick-Up

Wednesday, September 6th, 2006

So Gabe and I are moving to a new office space in West Hollywood. That’s the good news. The bad news is that $5,000 worth of printing is going down the drain. So what do you do with 2000 business cards that will be worthles in 2 weeks? Well, you can see.

This is not a painting of Pam Dawber. OR IS IT! Dude. I have a picture in my mind. It’s 1962 somewhere in Chatworth. Somehow this woman came in cotact with toxic waste. It turned her skin blue and for some reason unknown to science her areolas began to increase in size. This could be a great movie. Like what if the areolas kept gowing in size and tried to take over the San Fernando Valley. Maybe helicopters would have to come and shoot rockets at THE GIANT AREOLAS THAT TOOK OVER THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY!

1964 Country Squire Wagon

I love Ford. It would be so cool to shoot down PCH in one of these. Just me and EIGHT of my closest friends.

Here’s a sweet little number. I caught this one on the morning drive to work. I snapped the picture while driving so you can only see one half but I’m here to tell you that the other half is just as awesome. I’m a sucker for tuck-and-roll with gold trim—but who isn’t. Also, I thought the house is supposed to be brown and the grass is supposed to be green?
