Everest: Beyond the Limit

So I’m watching this show on the Discovery channel about these guys who are trying to climb to the summit of Mount Everest. It’s so amazing. Most of the climbers are over 40 and one dude doesn’t even have legs! They battle the elements and the altitude in their deadly journey to the top. I was so inspired by the courage and tenacity. During the commercial break I was having the fantasy about maybe having my own adventure. Then I opened the dish washer to get a clean bowl for my cereal but opened the door too fast and hit my toe on the kitchen floor. Man that really hurt. No seriously my toe hurt for at least a minute. It was pretty bad. Wait, what was I saying…

I’v been watching this also, and it seems like something that could be done, if you have a spare $40000 or so to spend on your mid life crises. I have been considering going up Mt Whitney, which I did when I was 17 and it kicked my ass, but i think I am actually tougher now, believe it or not. I did hike up Olancha peak two years ago, with my cousin. Started at 9:00 am and got back at eight pm, after going from eight thousand feet to 12,123′, half of it without any trail.
So, dont discount yourself because of your tender toe, if you will cover my end of it I will accompany you to the top of the world.
