The fire started in Dark Canyon in the 3600 block of Barham Boulevard near the Oakwood Gardens Apartments complex. Crews said it is possible that the fire started in the parking lot of the complex. “It just started flaring up, rapidly,” said apartment resident Mayo Partee. “I was on the balcony. I felt the heat and had to go inside.” The fire was first reported at 5 acres. It grew to 25 acres by 3 p.m. Barham Boulevard is a heavily used connection between Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley. NewsChopper 4’s Justin Jaeger said traffic is slow on Barham Boulevard and the nearby 101 Freeway. Ron Myers of the Los Angeles City Fire Department said the fire is sending a heavy plume of smoke that can be seen in the Valley and Los Angeles basin. “Fortunately, today the winds are relatively light,” said Myers.

The second generation of the Corvette was my favorite. It’s just so perfect.

Today at Kings Road the celebrity du jour was Rebbeca Gayheart. Maybe you might know her from that TV show…oh what was it..you know she was the gilr in that movie or something…you know she was in that thing with that other guy…

Bad Santa seemed like it would be horrible but was quite funny. This dude really stole some scenes. Gabe and I spotted him at PF Changs.

This weekend Gabe bought a motorcycle: a Ducati Monster 695cc. Now he just needs a cape and some pointy ears.

I’d like to thank the Druids of Van Nuys for assembeling “Sofahenge” on my corner. It’s truly the best instalation I’ve seen so far. In the last few months the sofas have come and gone. There was even an old Lazyboy out there for a while.

But nothing really spoke to me until I saw this thing. I was temped when I saw a combo sofa and old-school big screen tv. That, was pretty good (not the November posting, this is ANOTHER TV/sofa combo). It had a 2001 monolith feel. I didn’t pull it together in time before it was picked up but it was good for at least an honerable mention.

My Dad chimed in a while back to show me how it’s done in Houston. Feast your eyes on this.

This photo was emailed to me with this caption.

I love me some white trash.

My Mother also jumped in and with her own Santa Monica addition. However she took the photo with her digital camera, went to the drug store and printed it out, and then mailed me the print. This kind of defeats the whole convenience of email. I’ll scan and post one day.

Lastly I see this.

Now I’m not saying that my intellectual property has been stolen but I do feel like my intellectual property has been stolen—and they added music. It’s not easy being a trend setter.

OK wait a fucking minute. Now I see this on the la.curbed.com comments: couches.wordpress.com. If you are a lawyer and would like to join me in a lawsuit that could reap punitive damages into the hundreds of dollars please contact me. Next thing you know there will be blogs posting photos of celebrities. This is such bullshit.

Gabe and I eat luch a few times a week at Kings Road Café a few times a week. It seems like there’s alway some celebrity having a salad or something. I started bringing my camera so you can stay up to date on the eating habits of the rich and famous.
