Starman

An alien responds to Earth’s invitation by cloaking himself in a human body created using the DNA of Jenny Hayden’s recently deceased husband. When his spacecraft is destroyed above Wisconsin, he seeks her assistance to reach a rendezvous point in Arizona within three days or perish. As their journey unfolds, pursued by government forces, the alien learns human emotions and communication. Jenny, initially fearful, grows close to him. Along the way, the alien uses mysterious energy spheres to perform miraculous acts—reviving a deer, healing Jenny, and winning money in a slot machine. In time, they fall in love, and Jenny discovers she is pregnant—her late husband’s DNA, and the alien’s legacy, now living within her. Ultimately, the alien reaches his homeworld, leaving Jenny with the final sphere and the promise that their child will carry on his benevolent mission.
